Earlier we have seen the midsized Chevrolet Malibu running around the cities and on highways with a couple of hybrid versions, but Chevrolet changed their mind and decided to make the current generation of the Malibu appear as an all-in-all hybrid version. To take a closer look at how beneficial it will be to own the new 2019 Malibu Hybrid we visited the Concord Chevrolet dealer, and had a first-hand experience of this car after the latest updates.
The New Appearance
The first glance on the 2019 Chevrolet Malibu can itself make you realize the changes that started right with the front grille of the car. It is now wearing an all-new design that looks much softer than its earlier which it has replaced in time. The car is virtually separated into upper and lower sections only by a sleek yet prominent bar that runs through the headlights. There the headlights too stood to be subtly-redesigned. The turn signals now got placed at a lower line in the bumper and are properly flanked by the new LED light signatures. At the rear end, the LED taillights too look completely changed. If you are a Malibu lover, then you must be aware of its badges that make it identifiable even from a distance.
The Power Options and Fuel Economy
The 2018 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid receives its power from a 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder engine in combination with a dual-electric-motor and sends to its front wheels setup to churn out a horsepower of 182 and a high rising 277 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to its latest electric motors, because of which the Malibu could cheat the transmission. Together this powertrain is able to run a distance of 49 mpg in the city roads, 43 mpg on the open way or highway, and 45 mpg, when the trips combine both of city and highway drives. The count is impressive and is ahead of its own segment.
Standard Features
The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid continues with only one trim. In that the features it includes as standard are keyless start and access, 17-inch alloy wheels, 8-way power seats, dual-zone climate control, a 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat, Bluetooth connectivity, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio and ambient lighting.
For 2019 the Chevrolet infotainment system gets a standard 8-inch display integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity in connection with a redesigned instrument cluster that displays everything through an 8-inch reconfigurable LCD.
Technology for Safety Standards and Driver Assistance
Every 2019 Malibu Hybrid now is safe with features like a standard reversing camera and Teen Driver system. The optional Driver Confidence I and II packages will bring the benefits of blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change alert, and rear parking sensors, forward-collision alert, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, following distance indication and low-speed automatic emergency braking.
The Concord Chevrolet dealership recommends the 2019 Malibu Hybrid that has all the good reasons to own.
